Doris MacKinnon

Doris MacKinnon has a BA (English), MA (Canadian History), Ph.D. (Canadian Indigenous History), and MEd (Adult Indigenous Education). Her primary area of research and publishing is in Indigenous history and culture. Her other interests include experiential learning, diversity, blended learning, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She serves in a professional capacity as a member of the Women’s and Gender Studies et Recherches Feminists, The Western Association of Women Historians, the Canadian Association of Instructional Designers, and as an Associate Editor of The Canadian Journal of Scholarship and Teaching. She has developed curriculum and instructed in the areas of Post-Colonial Canada, Settler–Indigenous relations, Indigenous history and Indigenization of education.
