Angel Davila

Angel Davila holds a Ph.D. in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (2018), the United States. He also earned other degrees: a Masters in Adult Education, a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Applied Linguistics, and a Bachelor of Education with a focus on Teaching English as a Foreign Language. His teaching experience in Nicaragua, Ecuador, and the United States has shaped his teaching philosophy ,which places learners as the most vital component of the learning and teaching process. He believes that all learners deserve to belong and be valued in their social and learning environment to accomplish the best version of themselves. His research interests include lived experiences of the self-regulated reflective learning strategies student-teachers use to develop pedagogical content knowledge in teacher education programs, language learning, language instruction, adult education and reflective pedagogy, and inclusive curriculum and instruction practices.
