Natalie Davey

Dr. Natalie Davey has been a secondary school English teacher with the TDSB for twenty years. Transitioning to the world of higher education, a secondment to York University’s Faculty of Education was followed by years spent supporting student success and “Learning to 18” initiatives on various college campuses in Toronto. Dr. Davey’s doctoral work focused on educational place-making that was lived out by detained youth, detention center staff and teachers, while her more recent writing and research interests have expanded to include critical pedagogies of care and narrative inquiry. Her expertise in relational teaching and narrative reframing is shared through a variety of platforms, including a forthcoming book and weekly podcasts.
